Frozen shoulder is a condition characterized by shoulder pain and stiffness, typically seen in individuals over 50 years old, but sometimes occurs in younger people. Its main feature is restricted shoulder movement, causing pain and discomfort when raising the arm, rotating the arm, or performing daily activities.

MSK Treatment Methods:

  1. Exercise and stretching: Physical therapists may recommend specific exercises and stretches to strengthen the muscles around the shoulder, improve flexibility, and range of motion.

  2. Heat therapy: Application of heat pads to alleviate pain and promote blood circulation.

  3. Instrument-assisted treatments: Using advanced and effective instruments like electrical stimulation or magnetic therapy to promote muscle relaxation and blood circulation.

  4. Massage, acupuncture, manual therapy: Physical therapists may perform massages or use specialized techniques to help alleviate shoulder tension and pain.

  5. Posture and activity recommendations: Providing guidance on good posture and daily activity modifications to reduce stress and burden on the shoulder.
